My life could use some yellow shoes

I am a passionate Art Director/Creative Director with a fondness for the Disney experience.

I believe that with my...

  • Diverse work and life experiences

  • Passion for making things better off than they were before

  • Creative, strategic, and design focused brain

  • And with my unique and new ways of thinking

...I will be the perfect addition to the Yellow Shoes team. Let’s do this.

Here’s a little about myself and The Life I Live

If I was hungry on the streets of Agra, India, I would hope that someone would share some food and love with me as well.

The Golden Rule

The Golden Rule is my playbook. This is how I live life. Obviously, I want to have a wonderful life but I feel like my purpose here on this planet is to help others have a wonderful and memorable life as well.

Ask me about my Hundred Dollar Hugs.

I took this photo in 1993. The beautiful quote was on the wall of the Land Pavilion at Epcot. I wonder where Vadra Francene Groce is now. I would love to connect with her.

Human Connection

I’m not afraid to talk to strangers. I’ve even received some pretty big hugs from them. I’m passionate about connecting people and care deeply about genuine human connections through experiences both familiar and new.

Ask me about my selfie with Sandip in the mountains of Bhutan.

This is me in 1996. Selling “les glows” at Disneyland Paris for 20 Francs each. Yes, I'm wearing knickers.

HAVE FUN

I believe in making an experience that might not be considered fun...fun! Why not?!

When I worked at Disneyland Paris, I turned the mundane job of a cashier into one of the most fun jobs I’ve ever had. Of course, working at Disneyland Paris helped but I went above and beyond to make sure fun was a part of the daily routine for myself and every Guest I encountered.

Ask me about my “je ne comprend pas” fun.

After my sister and I hiked Mt. Fuji, this wonderful 93-year-old Japanese lady welcomed us to her store with hot tea and a genuine, “Congratulations.” That and thank you were the only English words she knew.

Hospitable

The definition of Marc is hospitable.

The definition of hospitable is: friendly and welcoming to strangers or guests. Synonyms: welcoming, friendly, congenial, sociable, convivial, cordial, courteous...yep, that’s me. :)

Ask me about experiencing genuine hospitality while hiking to the summit of Mt. Fuji.

Hungry and Humble

I love the concept of being hungry and humble. I am both.

In high school, I was the Janitor at SportsTown USA and it taught me so much about hard work and humility. I am hungry to work hard, be the best and always go above and beyond expectations...all while having a keen sense of humility.

Ask me about picking up trash at Walt Disney World...as a guest.

Positive Spirit

I don't give up. I always look at the bright side. I make it happen.

When I was 20 years old, I did an internship at Walt Disney World and it was one of the greatest failures of my life but also one of the greatest lessons.

It ignited the never giving up spirit that lives within me to this day and was the beginning of an incredible life and career that has taken me all over the world.

Ask me about how the failure was a pivotal moment in my life.
